Job Description Summary The Counseling and Human Development Department at Albuquerque Academy seeks a counselor who will join a dynamic team of four licensed mental health professionals in the Fall of 2024. This team works in various ways to promote the mental health and well-being of students at the school. To achieve this goal, the counselors collaborate closely in an interdisciplinary team consisting of students, parents, faculty, and administration in key areas: crisis intervention, short-term individual counseling, facilitating support groups, psychoeducation, referrals to therapists in the community, and consultation with the department and community partners. Prospective candidates need to possess a relationship-based and trauma-informed approach.
