Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Experience in Hematology clinical and regulatory research is required.
Background and knowledge of the clinical trial processes including clinical, financial management and regulatory activities.
Experience comprehending and interpreting scientific and medical literature for utilization in feasibility assessment.
Possess knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor, and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines. Be proficient with medical terminology at a college level with the ability to understand disease processes, anatomy, and physiology necessary for comprehension of study protocols and for communicating with investigators in various departments/divisions throughout UCDCCC and UCDH.
Excellent research and investigative skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Quantitative skills to develop arithmetically and logically accurate data and translate into variable coherent reporting formats; select significant data for decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree.
Previous experience in oncology clinical research administration with an understanding of the research process from study start-up, feasibility, recruitment, budget and legal negotiations, vendors, protocol review, regulatory submissions and clinical management.

Department Overview
The UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCDCCC) is a matrix organization under the aegis of UC Davis Health and University of California, Davis. Designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Center is a clinical and research enterprise consisting of 266 faculty members from the Davis, Sacramento and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory campuses with research funding totaling $52M and a robust Clinical Research Program with over 200 trials (Phase I-III) open to accrual at any given time.
Department Specific Job Scope
Under the direction of the PRMS Assistant Director, this position manages initial trial activation activities to include submission of COIs/CDAs and other required documents, departmental feasibility assessments, pre-activation site selection applications and surveys, submission of protocol documents to the Disease Team and Scientific Review Committees, and coordination of trial activation for the Office of Clinical Research and the UCDH Contracts Office. The analyst is the facilitator and key driver of the process, ensuring the activation timeline is reduced, barriers are overcome, and studies are open in a manner compliant with the expectations of the NCI, the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program's Operational Efficiency Working Group, and UC Davis Health Compliance.
