This role is designed to provide sophisticated risk advisory services to institutional clients specialized in complex commercial real estate transactions. Being the subject matter expertise for our clients and vendors allows the ALS organization to provide hands on support in all aspects of our clients risk and insurance areas.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage pre-closing risk review of commercial real estate transactions, liaising with lenders, borrowers as well as post closing activity support in the monitoring of the vendors insurances mitigating risks away from our clients;
Analyze proposed insurance coverage and related risk mitigation including financial reserves and borrower guarantees and identifying and communicating insurance coverage gaps to borrower and broker for resolution;
Explain and mitigate potential risk exposures by proposing customized solutions;
Creating accurate risk assessment and documentation;
Serve as a trusted business advisor on all pertinent issues;
Team Management with an entrepreneurial mentality in order to grow and monitor this area of the business;
Deal flow management and tracking, client status reporting as well as issue tracking and resolution;
Contract review management and advisory on language;
Educate clients and borrowers in risk management, risk transfer, market issues, and relevant trends;
In-depth working knowledge of the commercial real estate transaction flow and the assigned clients’ needs.
