Baylor Law School is seeking an Office Manager to provide administrative support for Law Alumni Relations and Advancement. This position requires confidentiality, a positive attitude, attention to detail, commitment to a quality work product, strong organizational skills, an ability to work independently and proactively, and an ability to learn and work collaboratively as part of a team.
A high school diploma and three years of relevant experience are required. Five years of relevant experience is preferred.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with attention to detail.
Commitment to maintain confidentiality of all office matters.
Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on projects independently.
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a hard-working, dedicated team.
Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Manage the day-to-day activities of the Office of Alumni Relations and support the Director of Alumni Relations.
Support the Senior Director of Development and the Advancement team in the pursuit of philanthropic support to Baylor Law School.
Maintain alumni records and handle data updates.
Provide logistical support for the Office of Alumni Relations programs and events, including special events (Homecoming, Baylor Lawyer of the Year, Alumni Weekend, reunion events, etc.) and routine networking events held around Texas.
Utilize internal Baylor software systems such as Vision, EPIC, and Emma to achieve the goals of the Office of Alumni Relations and to support the Director of Development.
Take the lead on logistics for all annual mass solicitations.
Support the Baylor Law Alumni Association's activities and maintain accurate membership records.
Manage the calendar of events and major projects for the Office of Alumni Relations and in support of Advancement.
Prepare and submit expense reports for Alumni Relations and Advancement staff.
Process deposits of gifts to University Advancement.
Submit requests for lists or information from University Advancement to support events, solicitations, or other programmatic needs.
Book travel for Alumni Relations and Advancement staff.
Interact positively with alumni, donors, students, and other visitors.
Maintain knowledge of and comply with Baylor University policies and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
