Overview
The Epic Technical Lead is responsible for the coordination of key Epic environment activities including release strategy, change control, upgrade coordination, and data migration strategy. The position reports to Director of IS Applications.
Responsibilities
· Develop, Communicate, and manage the Epic environment strategy including data migration, methods, and schedules
· Coordinate global IT change control processes including all those relating to implementation of Epic components and builds
· Coordinate with IT management teams on developing Epic upgrade schedules and maintenance windows
· Oversee data migration schedules ensuring proper load management and maintaining performance levels
· Coordinate and manage activities relating to Epic upgrades ensuring proper alignment across application and technical teams
· Manage updates and patching levels at supportable levels across Epic production and non-production environments
· Maintain detailed system documentation reflecting system architecture, security, and other requirements as defined in IT documentation templates
· Serve as primary point of contact for communication regarding all environment activities including refreshes, maintenance windows, upgrades, and patches
· Assist project teams in defining system requirements and developing project plans for major upgrades and new module implementations within the Epic environment
· Complete assigned system build / development tasks based on design specifications
· Participate in training process for new functionality validating training material and participating as needed in knowledge transfer to end users
· Participate as needed in go-live events providing support, training, and troubleshooting assistance to deployment team
Qualifications
· Minimum of 5 years recent healthcare information systems experience required
· Experience in Healthcare systems project planning and implementation required

Founded in 1916 by two physician brothers, Drs. James Beebe and Richard C. Beebe, the medical center in Lewes is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit seaside community hospital. Beebe's Medical Staff has grown tremendously since the early 1990s. Employed physicians through Beebe Medical Group and our affiliated physicians on Beebe's Medical Staff now serve patients from Milford to Millville in specialties including cardiac surgery, dermatology, endocrinology, family practice, gastroenterology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatric neurology, and surgical oncology.
