Under the general direction of the Financial Services Supervisor, provide business and accounting support to senior leadership involving the processing and servicing of a variety of operational, personnel, and financial transactions and services. Includes cashiering, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, procurement, recharge billing, travel / entertainment, gift accounting, collections, data collection and data entry, analysis, review and control, customer servicing, and reporting. This position is part of the FOA Business Partners which is a centralized business team providing support to multiple FOA departments. This position independently performs the assigned duties of the role for the department and fulfills the fiscal officer responsibilities within specific unit(s), while assignments can change based on operational and business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in accounting, payroll, inventory, purchasing, accounts payable, inter-departmental billing and general ledgers.
Knowledge of fundamental financial management practices and generally accepted accounting principles, policies and procedures.
Financial management skills to extract data from multiple computerized systems, analyze and reconcile data, and prepare complex, reliable reports for managing budgets and communicating financial information to management and constituency groups.
Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software. Skill to use Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Outlook and other software applications sufficient to complete assigned projects.
Organizational skills to effectively achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous projects with constant interruptions that include: strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making, ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Leadership skills to provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to professional and support staff.

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
