Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for activities associated with generation of payroll including labor distribution records, vacation and sick leave accrual, overtime and withholding status. Complies with all government reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholding and employer contributions. Uses payroll professional concepts. Applies organizational policies and procedures to resolve a variety of payroll issues. Works on payroll problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. This position will be the primary point of contact and is responsible for providing consultation and training for medical center managers and supervisors on API, UC Path, payroll policies and procedures, university payroll policies and procedures, and payroll related articles.

Required Qualifications:
Working knowledge of MS Office software programs
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated judgment and analytical skills to identify, analyze, and resolve payroll related problems.
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
2 years of experience in payroll processes, policies, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Demonstrated knowledge of medical center payroll policies and procedures
