Reporting to the Director, Strategic Finance Transformation, the incumbent will assist all leaders to help drive financial modeling and proforma creation within business and financial planning across the health system enterprise, including the following areas: enterprise business and capital implementation and integration, enterprise financial planning, and health system funds flow. The incumbent will partner with UCI Health leaders within Strategy, Ambulatory Operations, Hospital Support Services, Enterprise Revenue Cycle, UCI School of Medicine, and other stakeholders within UCI Health Enterprise, along with leaders supporting UCI strategic service lines. The key opportunities for the Health System Strategic Finance Transformation include business opportunities within the UCI Health Enterprise, pursuing integrated clinical financial planning, analysis, reporting, and operations; improving healthcare financial awareness across the clinical enterprise; and strengthening the Health System Finance Organization structure and resource management infrastructure in anticipation of the significant growth outlined in the health system long range financial plan. The incumbent will partner with senior business and clinical leaders to define data requirements to create financial models for business opportunities that drive sustainable, measurable improvements to our clinical delivery models; challenge status quo and become a thought partner for each area supported.

Required Qualifications:
Proven ability to quickly develop credibility with various/all constituencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Access and PowerPoint, and statistical data analysis software and other desktop applications
Must possess the skill, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Must be results-driven to drive quantifiable results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Effective communicator able to understand the needs of a variety of audience members and tailor a message accordingly
Creative problem solving skills
Bachelor's degree
Analytical ability to develop, analyze and interpret application of data
Ability to work collaboratively with entity CFOs, COOs, CNOs, and Clinical Directors within Hospital and Physician practices to affect positive impact on identified opportunities in both finance and strategic domains
Ability to plan, set expectations (for self and others), and accomplish multiple objectives within specific timeframes.
Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on a project
Ability to maintain an organized approach, clarity of purpose, and goal orientation in a rapidly changing environment involving multiple stakeholders of various levels from throughout the organization.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
5+ years internal or external healthcare experience in an Academic setting (or equivalent experience) with strong operational background performing financial data analysis
3 years internal or external Academic Healthcare setting managing funds flow supporting the faculty practice and clinical operations
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Knowledge of hospital and professional billing
Knowledge of healthcare market, government rules and regulations
Experience with database and decision support systems
