Reporting to the Director for Administrative Systems Consulting, the Business Process Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, mapping out current workflows, and identifying opportunities for enhancement. This role will support Administrative Technology Services led projects and initiatives serving constituents in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences with diverse teams and stakeholders.
The Business Process Analyst is expected to work closely with the user community, fellow team members, technical partners, and vendors to evaluate and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Principal Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and redundancies.
Document current and future state processes and develop detailed process maps including flowcharts, process models, and detailed procedures.
Conduct gap analysis and identify feasible alternative solutions including business process re-design that meet defined business objectives.
Identify change management requirements, assist in the development of training materials and end user communications.?
Develop and present findings at user group and stakeholder meetings. Plan and facilitate necessary user group meetings.?
Work;
with cross-functional teams to develop optimized processes with the business needs in mind.
at an expert level within a team on most phases of service analysis and consider the business implications of technology applications to the current and future business environment
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of five years? post-secondary education or relevant work experience

3+ years of experience in business analysis and/or software development

with enterprise CRM tools such as Salesforce or Maxient.
with working as a member of Agile teams i.e. Scrum, Kanban in a collaborative environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Proven ability to quickly assimilate to new technology and/or applications required.?
Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.?
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably with coursework in information systems or information technology Strong problem solving, organizational, analytical, data analysis, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.?

Completion of Harvard IT Academy specified foundational courses (or external equivalent) preferred
