The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the administrative and programmatic responsibilities of the Office of the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies in the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA). As the primary operational and administrative contact, you will handle complex and confidential issues related to the management of policies and VCEA operations. You will interface with faculty members to assist in research proposal development and conduct high-level research activities, including data compilation, mathematical and statistical analysis, policy analysis, and the reporting and presentation of results and recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
The three (3) years of required experience must include progressively responsible experience in positions related to research administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in engineering
Experience assisting faculty members with research proposals including budget strategies, finding funding, and graphics development.
Experience providing complex administrative or clerical support.
Experience conducting research, and data analysis.
Demonstrated computer skills that include knowledge of and ability to work with relational database and statistical software packages (e.g., Access, Excel, Business Objects, SAS, and SPSS) and word processing software.
Experience providing administrative support at the executive level
Experience presenting and communicating data analysis through reports and PowerPoint presentations.

Monthly Salary: $4,508.70 - $6,500 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
