Position Summary
The Website Developer will expand and enhance a department or division's online presence through new website content development, feature sections, and timely postings. This is a time-limited position for up to 6 months.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the production of copy, art, and other page elements throughout the website development process.
Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern technologies/frameworks and collaborate with designers/content creators to translate UI/UX designs into functional web pages.
Ensure that all web site content is uploaded to the site on a timely basis, refreshed, and updated according to the content schedule and that information and its design flow adheres to department specifications and is conducive to a user-friendly find/view pattern.
Maintain cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility so that the web site is accessible from a variety of different environments.
Evaluate all content for its value in search engine optimization (SEO) according to key word frequency, key word density, formatting, etc.
Produce site traffic analysis and monthly senior management reports and aid in interpreting results and potential impact.
Design, program, test, and document web applications used by and for the department or division.
Act as liaison to obtain clearance on copyrighted material ensuring all issues are resolved and no personal health information is available or collected on any portion of the site.
Implement and adhere to best practices for web development, including SEO, security, and accessibility standards.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Perform other related duties as necessary.

$58,400.00 - $99,700.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
