Your Role on the Team
Applies UC systemwide and local Academic Personnel policies and procedures. Acts as a resource to faculty and staff on all non-faculty academic personnel matters. Provides on-going high-level analysis that encompasses a wide range of duties that are especially time sensitive. This position requires sound communication, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Demonstrated ability to handle difficult or volatile situations / individuals effectively.
Demonstrated organization, problem solving, and communication skills.
Demonstrated skill to assess priorities to complete work in a timely manner in an environment of deadline constraints, competing priorities, and/or changing workloads.
Analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations to unit management.
Demonstrated experience working with confidential information and using sensitivity, tact and discretion.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with administrators, faculty, and staff.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Preferred:
Knowledge of organization, college and departmental policies and procedures of functional area.
Knowledge of Academic HR management systems and other business-related software programs.
3-5 years Experience in Human Resources or Personnel Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
