The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Project Manager. The Clinical Research Project Manager will actively participate, plan, and evaluate multiple, complex and/or multi-faceted research programs for one or more designated departments, programs, or central units. Duties can span a broad range of activities or be primarily focused within one or more areas of the clinical research spectrum.
Essential Functions
Manage all aspects of research program and clinical studies including education, teaching and training. Assist in planning, writing and implementing the clinical study?s goals and objectives.
In conjunction with Principal Investigator (PI) or Director, interpret and apply current research findings in area of clinical specialty.
In conjunction with PI and Director, report findings in professional journals and local, state, and national conferences. Edit abstracts and manuscripts.
Develop and execute data management plans. Assist with development of analysis plans. Conduct basic analysis and interpret findings.
Work with Data Manager to set up and maintain study database.
Act as a liaison with medical staff, university departments, ancillary departments and/or satellite facilities.
Act as a consultant within area of clinical expertise.
Prepare and submit research documentation (i.e. IRB submissions, educational materials, reports, grant renewal reports, and study forms).
Act as a resource for faculty and staff regarding contracts/budgets for industry and sponsored research. Serve as a referral resource.
Work with necessary parties to identify compliance, legal, IP and business/financial risk. Mitigate risk through working with physicians/faculty, divisions, legal and/or other departments.
Maintain budgets and contracts.
Maintain clinicaltrial.gov records.
Assist with creation of case report forms.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Act as a resource for the new study physicians and orient them to the study protocol and help them to design study projects.
Be the primary resource for the study?s historical information and be responsible for the accuracy of study data over multiple study periods.

Required Education
Bachelor?s Degree.
Nine (9) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
Five (5) years related experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Experience in an academic or clinical setting in the area of clinical specialization.
SoCRA or ACRP certification.
