The basics of this position:
The Process Analyst is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and improving processes across the college, in alignment with the Saint Louis Community College Process Framework. The role involves identifying inefficiencies, engaging Process Stewards and subject matter experts, recommending improvements, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions to optimize operational processes and workflows. The Process Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to support the college’s operational and performance processes, ensuring delivery of high-quality education and services to students, faculty, and employees. ***This is an in-person position***
What you'll do:
• Process Analysis & Evaluation: o Analyze existing institutional processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. o Collect and analyze data to understand process performance and outcomes. o Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys with stakeholders to gather information on current practices. • Process Improvement: o Develop detailed process maps, flowcharts, and documentation of current workflows. o Recommend process changes or redesigns to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. o Implement approved process improvements, ensuring alignment with organizational and department goals. o Monitor and report on the progress of improvement initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. o Provide training and support to staff on new processes and best practices. • Stakeholder Collaboration: o Collaborate with employees and faculty to identify and understand their needs and challenges. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and feedback on process changes and improvements. • Continuous Improvement: o Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of process changes. o Monitor and analyze the impact of implemented improvements and make adjustments as needed. o Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the college by encouraging feedback and innovation. • Other job-related duties as assigned.
Education, experience, and other requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, information systems, education, or related field. • Three (3)+ years of experience in process analysis, process improvement, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Agile or Six Sigma certification is preferred. • Experience in higher education or public sector organizations is preferred.
