ACORD Solutions Group Information Technology Intern students gain real-world work experience in their academic field. During the summer months, interns will engage in challenging projects evolving around the state-of-the art solutions in the insurance industry. Interns will be paired with Technical Lead mentors and will be given opportunities to stretch their skills and enrich their knowledge base to achieve a greater understanding within Technology.
What we are looking for:
The Software Engineer Intern will be highly self-directed and willing to work closely with the development team to help design and implement solutions. Students should have good experience and education in:
Good understanding of software development
Programming knowledge/skills in the following technology, but not limited to:
Java
Python
UI Angular
HTML5
CSS3
Excellent written and verbal skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
2-3 years of college experience, preferably in Computer Science or related field
Currently pursuing Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Available to participate in the intern program from May 28 - August 15.
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to take an online assessment.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot framework.
Familiarity with Elasticsearch and its client libraries.
Experience with Python and AI/ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
