Under the direction of the Identity Access Management (IAM) Supervisor, this position serves as a developer in all phases of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and integration of Identity and Access applications supported by Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS), a division of the Information & Educational Technology (IET) department. This position is part of the IAM Application Development team, which provides development and support for a variety of mission critical systems and services including authentication, identity management, directory services, and account provisioning. Applications are developed using Java, Spring, Angular, JavaScript, REST API and Oracle SQL. Additionally, the position includes assessing data quality and data cleaning as required. The critical nature of the systems supported require a high degree of seamless teamwork and effective communication between team members.

Minimum Qualifications
For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and/or educational degree if required of the position.
Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Experience with Oracle RDBMS or other complex relational database management systems and principles.
Experience using collaboration in designing effective databases. (Experience with a minimum of 1 database solution: Oracle, MySQL, and other SQL database.)
Experience with technologies such as client/server technologies, web technologies (X/HTML, A JAX, JavaScript, CSS, Web services such as SOAP/WSDL and Rest, XML and JSON), distributed computing concepts, application development methodologies, and networking concepts.
Experience with the current Java frameworks such as Spring, Angular, or other JavaScript frameworks.
Experience with structured application development methodology in deploying technical solutions, design documentation tools, application software version control and tracking (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket), and code migration.
Interpersonal and written communication skills to communicate with all hierarchical and technical levels, develop working relationships, secure and/or provide information, resolve problems and develop solutions to accomplish organizational goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience application server such as Tomcat, Apache, Jetty or Glassfish.
Experience with open source frameworks, technologies and tools such as Eclipse, Spring, Struts, Angular, JQuery, MVC Architecture.
Experience with data management tools for data ETL.
Experience with SDLC methodologies including Agile, Iterative, Lean, and/or Waterfall.
Experience using organization and analytical skills to assume general assignments, to simultaneously work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines and to independently follow projects through to completion while timely communicating with team and stakeholders.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Skilled in building loosely-coupled, service-oriented distributed systems.
Skilled in evaluating data quality, data cleaning, and database tools for data evaluation.

Work Environment
Hire MUST be located in-state. (Out of state applicants will be considered but must relocate instate if hired). This position can be done primarily remote with the expectation that the employee must be available to come on site should management deem it necessary for emergencies, meetings, support activities, etc. No reimbursement of travel expenses, travel time not considered work hours.
Due to the mission-critical services provided by this department, this position may work hours other than M-F 8-5, especially in response to system problems. Vacation is restricted during peak periods. Adhere to workplace safety practices, read information communicated about workplace safety, complete required safety training on time, and report any workplace safety issues promptly to their supervisor or the designated safety coordinator.
