Your Role on the Team
Under general supervision of the Contract and Grant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for a wide variety of complex budget, financial and operational analyses of operating accounts within the Department of Radiological Sciences. The incumbent is responsible for reconciliation, review and analysis of expenditures, forecasting, financial data management and all related functions. The incumbent must be able to identify, analyze and help improve current processes to ensure the efficient operation of all business functions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and documentation in support of all purchases, process PO's and utilizes KFS to submit reimbursement requests. Incumbent must be possess an experienced level of administrative and communication skills and have the ability to adhere to established project deadlines.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required:
Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize, and perform basic financial analysis assignments.
Demonstrated ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated ability using spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; excellent service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to function as a member of a team.
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Preferred:
Working knowledge of UCI Kuali Financial Systems, Decision Support desired and University Policies & Procedures
