The HR enterprise is comprised of three unique business units: UCI Health, Health Sciences, and Campus. The Partnership serves as a strategic center responsible for planning and implementing strategic initiatives across the entire UCI HR enterprise. Members of the partnership work in close collaboration with all three business units to leverage expertise across the enterprise.
Reporting to the Compensation Program Manager, the Compensation Analyst functions as a subject matter expert and provides consulting services to Community Network hospitals' local HR team, leadership and employees regarding compensation, classification, incentive program and other ancillary pay issues. Processes represented and non-represented approved wage programs, such as across the board increases, equity, step increases, etc. Conducts job evaluations and compensation analyses, and develops communications and resources as needed. Assists the local HR teams with the planning and implementation of new classification programs and strategies for the Community Network hospitals as requested. Interprets and applies Human Resources policy and procedures, as well as Collective Bargaining Agreements and state and federal law as they relate to compensation. Ensures compliance with all federal employment laws as well as regulatory agency requirements. May assist with compensation services outside the Community Network hospitals as necessary to help balance enterprise-wide workload.
Uses skills and experience as a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of compensation concepts. Resolves complex issues in imaginative and practical ways where analysis of situations and data requires a review of a variety of factors. General instructions may be provided on new assignments and initiatives.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $85,400 - $121,100 (Annual).
Required:
At least 7 years of experience in Human Resources
At least 2 years of experience working as a Compensation Analyst
Comprehensive knowledge of the compensation functions as well as general knowledge of other areas of human resources.
Knowledge to implement compensation programs for client groups and understands how they and other initiatives may impact various areas of human resources.
Analytical skills to conduct analysis, interpret large sets of data, identify trends and develop recommendations as well as effective written and verbal communication skills to convey findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to all levels within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on teams, with client groups, and other areas of human resources and complete multiple assignments on time.
Strong interpersonal skills to provide a high level of consultation on classification, compensation and other areas of human resources issues to a wide range of clients in a diplomatic and confidential manner.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing work assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume and frequently changing environment.
Demonstrated experience administering classification and job evaluation tools.
Ability to work independently and exercise initiative, discretion and good judgement.
Demonstrated skill to work with a variety of computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), database management, HRIS systems, electronic mail, etc.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Preferred:
Working knowledge of University policies and procedures as well as Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Experience working in the public sector.
Certified Compensation Professional credential.
