Job Overview
Join the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences as a Computer Information Analyst I, and become an integral part of our Digital Technology Services team. Essential Functions
Primarily supports the overall technology needs for the faculty, staff, researchers and students of the academic and admin departments within the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
Hardware and software installation, with configuration and administration of end-user desktop and mobile computing devices.
Troubleshoots, analyzes and resolves problems associated with the system hardware, operating systems, software / applications.
Ensures compliance with security standards and practices to protect against system vulnerabilities by having a focus on remediation across the college.
Participates in IT asset management, technology specifications and purchasing, email moderation, and audio-visual support.
Provide advanced support for computing needs across faculty and staff offices and research labs, supporting multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile devices.
Collaborate with DTS and DTS CEAS IT teams to align technology support with academic teaching and research needs; communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain flexible work hours to support users outside of standard times and engage in research projects subject to ITAR regulations, requiring US citizenship or Green Card.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related degree; -OR- an Associate's degree with two (2) years experience; or four (4) years of basic to intermediate level computer hardware related experience.
At least two years of relevant experience.
Experience should include administration of desktop technologies and a high level of experience with
supporting hardware and software of varying technologies, of a company, agency or institution with more than 50 employees.
Position requires ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds on a regular basis.
This position may include research projects handled under ITAR, which is sponsored by the United States Government and requires US citizenship or the applicant to possess a Green Card.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Additional Qualifications Considered
Demonstrated experience in Windows, Mac, and Linux desktop support.
Experience with audio visual technologies is a plus.
Previous engineering experience, particularly with engineering software.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to varying team dynamics.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where constructive feedback is common.
