This position will manage projects that advance agroecology and organic research and outreach at UW-Madison, Department of Plant and Agroecosystem Sciences including: a) managing the development of an Agroecology Ph.D. program; b) in conjunction with the Organic Trade Association, manage the Organic Ag Outlook Forum and National Organic short course initiative; and c) manage UW Organic Collaborative Efforts including outreach efforts under the direction of Professor Erin Silva. The position will also coordinate national outreach efforts of the UW sweet corn breeding program, under the direction of Professor Bill Tracy.

• 30% Creates a project plan, monitors progress and performance against the project plan, and identifies, resolves, or escalates risks and issues
• 15% Manages the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
• 20% Facilitates the estimation of project costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of a project and monitors activities, negotiates for resources, and assigns tasks to ensure these targets are met. Follows established change control processes if targets can no longer be met
• 10% Prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team
• 5% Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and collaborates with project staff to meet project targets and milestones
• 20% Supervises undergraduate students and project assistants

Required:
* Experience initiating and managing multiple projects advancing agroecology and organic research
* Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish
* Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups to meet objectives

The minimum salary for this position is $87,000. Actual starting salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
