What you will you be doing in this role:
The Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the month-end general ledger closing process and be responsible for preparing general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries when appropriate. This individual will perform budget to actual variance analyses on a monthly basis prior to scheduled meetings with General Accounting Management. You will:
Play a key role in the month-end close process
Prepare both standard and non-standard journal entries to record transactions impacting the Medical Foundation.
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis
Investigate budget to actual account balance fluctuations on a monthly basis
Assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated Financial Statements
Assist with the preparation of annual audit schedules
Perform accounting research and provide guidance for the recording of significant and unusual transactions
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another similar relevant degree required. Master?s degree preferred.
A minimum of 3 years accounting experience required, preferably within healthcare.
Public accounting experience a plus.
Experience/Skills Sought:
Detail oriented and be able to prepare various work products from the perspective of a reviewer.
Strong computer skills, primarily in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities.
