Job SummaryReviews records for completion of the discharge summary and assigns appropriate attending physician responsible for completion of the medical record. Identifies incomplete entries in discharged inpatient, observation patient, Outpatient Surgery, Surgical Overnight Recovery Unit, and Emergency Department medical records. Works with physicians and others to secure completion of the medical records.Job DutiesAnalyzes inpatient records in accordance with hospital guidelines to ensure that required documentation is completed.Identifies deficiencies in electronic medical record.Updates and enters deficiencies into computerized Deficiency Tracking system.Generates reports.Identifies, tracks and communicates with physicia
