Job DescriptionThe Systems Integrator/Developer is responsible for developing, managing and coordinating the technical components supported by ITS Academic Systems for the Provost and Student Affairs divisions. This position uses software development best practices to prepare efficient code and ensures the integration of back-end services and databases. This position makes use of database platforms, user-facing query functionality, job scripting and other tools to reach objectives. The Systems Integrator/Developer will meet clients' technical needs through the compilation, refinement and execution of specifications and requirements, as well as client server systems support. The position works with Health Services, Study Abroad, Office of International Students, Residential Life, Admission offices, Advising, Field Placement and other partners, as well as data integrations and warehouse teams to build and support a seamless constituent relationship management for Admission and other Slate CRM customers.
This role will also participate in support of and integration of various other related systems vital to admission, academic and student services. The position will support the critical infrastructure for daily operations of our partners, focusing on the technical administration, maintenance, development, server and application patching and upgrades of critical systems in these areas.
Key components include the data transmission architecture, data warehouse feeds and integrations, reporting systems, data security, Windows operating systems, Linux operating systems, and vendor API implementations.
The Systems Integrator/Developer serves as a member of ITS project teams involving various third-party vendor software packages and in-house applications ensuring that ITS security, quality and client business needs are met.

Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:
Senior Systems Integrator/Developer: Hiring range 92k - 115k
Minimum of five years of technical experience to include software programming & integration experience and development and integration strategies. Previous experience taking lead on major technical implementations.
Systems Integrator/Developer:Hiring range 74k -100k
Minimum of three years of software programming & integration experience and at least two years of data analysis, design and implementation experience to include working with user departments to define and assess business needs and programming requirements.
Associate Systems Integrator/Developer: Hiring range 70k to74k
Minimum of one year of software programming & integration experience.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant discipline.
- Demonstrate excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must grasp complex technical issues and synthesize them into standards/policies for integration and understand the mission and strategic goals of the University and the role these technologies play in fulfilling these goals.
- Work independently and have the ability to multi-task, managing time and priorities wisely with the understanding of the department priorities.

- Demonstrated competence with and experience managing various application servers.

- Experience architecting and tuning high availability, high performance environments.
- Experience integrating, configuring, monitoring, and supporting related purchased applications into an existing architecture and application services.
- Experience with application administration tools to support log management, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover.
- Experience using service-oriented architecture (SOA) methodologies.
- Experience developing or configuring web services technologies such as WSRP, REST, and/or XM.
- Experience working with relational database technologies (Oracle preferred).
- Experience working with SQL (required) and PL/SQL (preferred).
- Working understanding of various UNIX operating system architectures.
- Experience using scripting languages such as Shell, Perl and JavaScript.
- Experience working with messaging or related technologies (IBM MQ preferred).
- Experience with programming and scripting languages especially Java, JavaScript, Python, PHP and UNIX shell scripting.
Preferred but not required: Experience implementing and supporting data integration for the Technolutions Slate CRM.
