The Department of Information Technology Services is seeking applications for a Senior Network Engineer. Information Technology Services (ITS) provides the highest quality technology services to students, faculty, and staff and delivers technologies that advance the University's academic, research, and administrative goals.
The Senior Network Engineer reports to the Assistant CIO for Networking/Telecom and Classrooms leading the network team in day-to-day operations. The Senior Network Engineer is also:
Steers network team for connectivity: 115+ HSU Buildings, 18+ remote sites, 10+ medical facilities.
Provides and manages network services through specialized (Cisco) devices including Traffic filtering devices, VoIP Gateway, wireless networking, Wireless LAN controllers, management and monitoring devices, etc.
Leads the networking team for the installation and maintenance of the network.
Oversees network requests and needs including 10S updates, device configuration, moves, adds, changes, repairs, upgrades, troubleshooting, etc.
Maintains network-related databases including DHCP, DNS, network subnets, device inventory, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
The Senior Network Engineer plays a key role in ensuring that organizational projects and initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This position focuses on the people side of change, which involves preparing, supporting, and equipping people to adopt and use changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, organization structures, and more.

Required Qualifications:
CCIE Certification OR abachelor's Degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Technology, or other related degree plus two (2) years of relevant experience.
