The Workplace Technology Services (WTS) team provides campus-wide services including; email, collaboration and productivity tools, Business Intelligence and analytics platforms, Service Desk, and Endpoint Management [(Field Support, Procurement, MDM, Backup) and Software Licensing Support for UC San Diego and affiliates].
As part of the Endpoint Management division, this position will be responsible for the support of various applications/systems; MECM(SCCM), InTune, JAMF PRO, BigFix, Druva inSync and Enterprise Anti-Virus Endpoint Protection. Will serve as Tier 3 support for Windows/Apple Operating Systems, Monitors, Desktop/Laptops and more for the Field Support team.
The incumbent will serve as a technical lead in the design, development, deployment of MECM/SCCM and InTune for Campus IT departments. Will be well versed in Active Directory GPO's/Computer & Users/Objects/Permissions/OU/Groups as well as Powershell and other scripting tools. Have experience with O365, print servers, shared drives/OneDrive and Server OS configuration. Have knowledge of various Endpoint Management tools, and is a great team player with communication skills to match.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and manage server support systems including MECM (SCCM), WSUS, BigFix, Druva, InTune, JAMF Pro and Enterprise Anti-Virus Endpoint Protection. Maintain Active Directory: Objects, GPO, Permissions, etc. Produce and maintain host-based firewall policies for ITS and supported departments computers. Creates complex scripts to accomplish work-related tasks. Provides strategic input to system design/redesign, development, deployment efforts with MECM/InTune for the UC San Diego IT community. Install, configure, maintain and administer Windows/macOS gold images to provide essential services for ITS and supported departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong experience and knowledge in the use of Microsoft and other device management systems - MECM (SCCM), InTune, JAMF Pro and BigFix Endpoint Services.
Strong knowledge and experience with design, development and deployment of MECM (SCCM) / InTune.
Experience and knowledge in the use of Druva inSync, and Enterprise Anti-Virus Endpoint Protection.
Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated experience writing and editing complex scripts used to perform system maintenance and administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with providing day-to-day operations as a lead with a technical team Keeping track of projects/timelines and providing reports as needed to management.
Experience with ITIL foundation.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma yellow belt and above.
