Job Overview
The Senior CRM Developer is responsible for:
Managing analysis of University-wide information system requirements, development of specifications, both low- and high-level programming, and writing system documentation for Georgetown 360, a Constituent Relationship Management system, being built on Salesforce, to support both Advancement and University-wide CRM
Providing technical support for analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of the CRM system
Using operational and functional knowledge of all aspects of the application, including all external interactions and internal processes, to develop alternatives to customization of purchased system where possible, or to design and implement appropriate modifications where required
Administering application of vendor maintenance, quality control management, oversight of change control processes, and analysis of requirements
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Technical Director, CRM, the Senior CRM Developer works within and across teams to support the acquisition of new skills and areas of expertise. They work with all members of the implementation team, subject matter experts and stakeholders from academic, administrative offices, with members of faculty, student, research and alumni communities and with vendors.
Qualifications
BS/BA in Computer Science or related computing intensive field and 5 years of experience OR Master`s degree in Computer Science/MIS or related computing intensive field and 2 years of experience
5-7 years of object oriented software development (C++, C#, Java)
Ability to rapidly adapt to changing business requirements and to efficiently acquire and utilize new skills in response to such change
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification:
Experience building and supporting enterprise web applications - JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, etc.
Experience developing Force.com Visual Force pages, Managed Packages, and integrations
Extensive experience with Salesforce Apex, trigger and workflow design; web service design and implementation experience with focus on integration design and implementation; and Visualforce
Salesforce deployment and change management experience - preference for Salesforce developer certification
Experience building and executing Salesforce development test plans
Other Skills:
Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Ability to build and use effective working relationships within own department and across line, functional and geographic reporting lines
Experience developing in an Agile methodology - preference for experience gathering and developing business requirements for salesforce development
