POSITION X2332 Extension Specialist, 4-H Youth Development

LOCATION 4-H Youth Development, UT Extension, Institute of Agriculture, The University of Tennessee. Knoxville, TN preferred location, but other statewide locations will be considered.

EFFECTIVE DATE July 15, 2023

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary is commensurate with training and experience. This is a grant-funded position.

Continued employment is contingent upon performance and funding. Benefits include group

hospitalization and life insurance; State Employees Retirement; Workers' Compensation; sick

liberal time off for holidays and longevity pay after three years of service; reimbursement for

official travel.

JOB DESCRIPTION

4-H Youth Development State office is looking to fill the position of Extension Specialist. This position provides leadership for planning, implementing, and evaluating statewide educational programs in Shooting Sports. The specialist is expected to deliver current research-based information and educational training primarily but not limited to Extension agents. The specialist will also act as the leader of Credentialing 4-H Portfolios with the Herbert College of Ag and Provost's Office for college credit that meet the desired criteria.
