To work with the Director Information Technology providing technical support for hardware and software issues within Financial Affairs. To develop knowledge, understanding and experience of financial systems and business processes to review system changes to meet university, local, state and federal regulations. To research and analyze current financial systems and/or data needs. To assist with testing and implementation of system enhancements and system upgrades for Financial Affairs and UAB. To communicate and interact with a wide range of personnel to ensure the successful implementation of system changes through the full work cycle. To provide support for system functionality, train staff across the organization and create/maintain system documentation as needed. This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.
(Annual Salary: $47,665 - $49,094.95)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Prior experience with finance related systems would be a plus. Ability to problem solve various software and hardware issues.
