The George Washington University’s Office of Clinical Research (OCR) is a centralized resource that supports the clinical research efforts of investigators across the GW medical enterprise. The Senior Clinical Research Financial Analyst is a professional position with responsibility for review, negotiation, and finalization of clinical trial budgets, building budgets and calendars and documenting Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) in OnCore, and supporting the institutional goal of compliance in clinical research budgeting and billing. The Senior Clinical Research Financial Analyst will prepare and negotiate budgets associated with a variety of clinical trial funding sources, including federal, foundation, and private industry, and have primary responsibility for the development and finalization of the MCA, determination of a Qualifying Clinical Trial, mixed billing designation, justifications for billing insurance within the OnCore Clinical Trial Management System. This position will be an expert at capturing all associated CPT codes for procedures and labs for industry sponsored studies, and be well versed in all applicable FDA and CMS regulations.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.
