The Assistant Director of Development for Parent Philanthropy will support the mission of Baylor University by growing the number of parents who are participating in major and principal gift philanthropy. This will increase private annual support raised each year and develop donor-centric strategies to meet student life, student success, school, college, and unit initiatives while building a pipeline of engaged prospects that enhance major giving efforts.
A bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. A master's degree is preferred.
A valid Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required.
Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of high-capacity parent donors and prospects for major gifts to Baylor, focusing on markets as assigned
Participate fully in University Development's prospect management, discovery/qualification visits, and related prospect development programs
Assist, as requested by the Sr. Director of Development and Associate VP for Principal Gifts, with programs to increase parent giving to Baylor University through the Parent Advisory Council and other strategic means
With the leadership of the Sr. Director of Development and Associate VP for Principal Gifts, establish yearly measurable goals/objectives, related metrics for new gift commitments secured, proposals made, new prospects qualified, and prospect meetings held
Collaborate with other University Development team members and volunteers to inspire trust and encourage creative thinking to significantly increase donors and private gifts to Baylor University
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
