The Systems Analyst role works within the Student Accounts Departments to support the mission of the University by providing complex system support for the department to include maintenance and configuration of the student accounting and billing systems, analyzing student accounts, and ensuring accuracy.
A Bachelor's Degree, two years of relevant experience and an active Christian faith are required. Up to five years of relevant experience is preferred.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Experience using Banner in a Technical Support capacity
Experience with Automic Scheduling tool
Technical expertise with data extraction techniques
Knowledge of and experience with reporting platforms (Power BI and Power Platform)
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, data mining/segmentation techniques, and SQL
An understanding of GAAP, or basic interest in learning financial accounting is required
This position is eligible for remote work.

What You Will Do
Responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining the Banner ERP student system, with a focus on student accounts system efficiencies. This includes facilitating rate rules for each term, creating automation for drop and withdrawal refunds, meal plans, and optional charges
Responsible for creating and developing Banner jobs and maintaining the scheduler. This requires project management experience and the ability to thoroughly test system and process changes prior to production deployment
Ensure timely support, understand the operational calendar and have a sense of urgency for quick turnaround on jobs. Actively monitor, manage, and respond to Tech Team issues by providing solutions within 24-48 hours
Will be expected to support, introduce, and manage projects to create efficiency. Support the Student Accounts Department staff and peripheral teams through troubleshooting, research, and identifying issues. This will require leveraging PL/SQL, T-SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI to automate processes and improve speed to resolution
Process Ignite Financial Feeds and work collaboratively with Central Finance to address any variances or reconciling errors with a constant eye on how to automate away from manual processes
Write advanced PL/SQL to provide Banner activity support. Create and provide reports using PL/SQL for Team Leaders or campus partners as needed. Create Power BI dashboards to be used for demonstrations and modeling of Student Accounts related activity or for process automation for operational and finance activity.
Work with ITS to automate operations and post data to Banner Production and Test environments
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission

The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $70,000.00 - $75,000.00. The full salary range for this position classification is $51,569.56 - $85,089.77.
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certification, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.
