In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Seeking a Project Manager for our Design & Construction team. Our Design & Construction team is committed to excellence in planning, designing and constructing facilities that support the Center's mission. To accomplish this, D&C must successfully implement capital projects with close collaboration between physicians, scientists and staff by establishing a standard of quality in construction management by assembling teams of professionals.
Supervise and coordinate all design & construction project logistical tasks, and plans and implements all closeout procedures.
Manage approved allocated capital project funds with limited scope which includes drafting, submitting, acquiring approval and implementing project budget through Financial Project Close-out.
Assist in setting up project budgets by acquiring prices from contractors and vendors and subsequent monitoring.
Manage conceptual scope development and evaluates parameters affecting major construction and renovation projects with limited scope, for presentation to the Director of Design &Construction.
Regularly inspect construction during the course of the project, evaluating schedule in terms of actual field progress, and ensuring that all appropriate details of projects are communicated between contractors and users.
Liaison with cross functional departments' within MSK, outside agencies, and vendors to coordinate project related activities such as inspections, testing and shutdowns.
Handle all project administration including agencies, procurement, scheduling, and closeout.
Reviewing leases/subleases and insuring MSK compliance relative to project scope.
Coordinate lease correspondence and notices, address and resolve payment issues, and monitor leases/amendments for alteration consent, and lease terminations.
5+ years healthcare experience preferred but not required
Project management experience; creating strategic project road maps and working with cross-functional teams
Able to process budgets and to analyze data
Comfortable leading day-to-day technical and design direction
Proven experience leading complex initiatives in a fast paced environment
Proven experience working in an Agile environment. SAFe certification a plus
