As the Systems Administrator you will:
Manage the UNL Police servers, desktop computing systems, and security systems.
Provide expert advice regarding security system configuration and design. Administer processes and procedures for all systems.
Responsible for all first-tier technical assistance for all systems, including desktop computing equipment, access control, and CCTV.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field plus two years of system administration, maintenance, and operation experience required; equivalent education/experience considered. Must possess knowledge of current Microsoft Windows desktop and server products, Microsoft Active Directory and management thereof; hardware/software troubleshooting; customer service and TCP/IP networking. Experience must demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science or related field. Experience in configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of physical security systems (i.e. surveillance cameras, access control, alarms, etc.) preferred. Public safety systems application knowledge or alarm central station experience highly desired. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), A+ and Server + certifications preferred.
