Job Description:
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) at Iowa State University (ISU) has an opening for an entry-level Systems Analyst. Â This is a full-time continuous appointment.
This position is responsible for supporting current & legacy technology to meet the needs of instruction and research in the college as a member of the LAS Infrastructure and Research IT Services (IRIS) team. Work for this position focuses primarily on Linux and includes debugging code/scripts, identifying issues across the hardware/software/network stack, containerization, server installation, solving interoperability issues, and providing assistance to other LAS technicians and campus researchers.
The successful applicant will have good written and oral communications skills; have a strong interest in problem solving; and demonstrate an ability to work with staff, faculty, and students to support the information technology needs of end users in a one-on-one or group environment.
