The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) is seeking a Manager, Membership Development to play a key role in retaining and supporting pool and hot tub professionals across the country. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, process improvement, and delivering exceptional member experiences.

What You'll Do:
As Manager, Membership Development, you’ll focus primarily on member retention and engagement, while supporting recruitment efforts and internal initiatives. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure members receive consistent, high-quality service throughout the membership lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing onboarding and renewal processes for new, renewing, and lapsed members
Overseeing member communications, billing touchpoints, and renewal outreach
Responding to member inquiries with professionalism and care
Coordinating with outside vendors on call campaigns and invoicing
Monitoring membership data integrity and CRM records
Supporting recruitment and retention campaigns in partnership with Marketing
Developing and hosting membership webinars and how-to resources
Representing PHTA at industry events and conferences (3–4 times per year)
Collaborating with Finance, Marketing, Database, and Chapter teams to support growth
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field (preferred)
3–5 years of related experience in membership, customer success, sales, or account management
Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable managing multiple processes and deadlines
Experience working with databases/CRMs (Microsoft MDX/PROTECH preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, remote environment
