Power Supply Project Manager
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, specify, purchase, and provide technical guidance in the installation and start-up of equipment required in Corn Belt’s electric generating plants.
Coordinate with engineering consultants and direct their work for the completion of power supply and load management projects.
Operate the load management system including sending notices, daily monitoring, creating reports, and determining monthly set points.
Research, develop, and implement improvements to the load management system.
Analyze project requirements to determine justification and feasibility for implementation.
Develop and maintain all plant drawings.
Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all generation equipment and structures.
Participate in the development of the yearly plant operation and maintenance budget.
Prepare daily, monthly and yearly work plans and schedules to maintain an efficient, reliable and economic operating plant.
Prepare and maintain daily, monthly and yearly reports as required.
Prepare work orders, requisitions, job tickets and other applicable paperwork in accordance with established procedures.
Work with insurance, fire, safety, environmental and other entities for the purpose of improving and protecting the generation plant.
Review existing and develop new plans, procedures, and practices as required to ensure proper compliance of environmental regulations at Corn Belt’s electric generating plants including permits regarding air, water and land.
A bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required. Prior power plant experience preferred.
