Seeking a strong leader to identify challenges and develop solutions while supporting executive leadership in establishing transmission operations goals, evaluating trends, and defining objectives.
Sunflower, a generation and transmission cooperative committed to delivering reliable, affordable energy to Kansans, is seeking an experienced transmission operations leader to oversee the development and coordination of transmission operations procedures, productivity standards, interconnection agreements, and regulatory compliance. This role will lead cross-functional committees to address operational challenges, drive strategic solutions with subject matter experts, and support executive leadership in defining and achieving transmission goals. The ideal candidate will manage permitting activities, engage stakeholders during public hearings if needed, and resolve concerns related to transmission projects. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of transmission operations and infrastructure development.

Top Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, accounting, legal, or a related field, and six years’ experience in electric transmission, regulatory, accounting, finance, or legal; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong critical thinking, problem solving, analytical, and research skills.
