Recruitment Range: $61,500 - $66,500The salary range advertised is the designated recruitment range for this classification. Final salary offers will be determined by the candidates education, relevant experience, internal equity alignment, and departmental budgetary parameters.

The Department of Integrated Educational Technologies supports the academic mission of the university by providing technical support for classrooms, labs, and other university-owned computer systems. Specifically, this department:

• Responds to classroom computing emergencies to keep downtime to a minimum.
• Maintains and upgrades CTAP (Classroom Technology Assistance Plan) classroom equipment.
• Supports all distance education networking technologies and provides special event services (lighting, sound, and video).

Brief Summary of Work for this Position:
The Technical Classroom Support Analyst position:

• Provides support for university-owned technology hardware and software.
• Resolves routine and advanced client hardware problems, including but not limited to: Macs and PCs, scaler/switchers, LCD projectors, hand-held devices, and network connections.
• Corrects software issues for clients in classroom environments.
• Performs routine and advanced diagnostics and maintenance of classroom technologies. Setup/Install new hardware and software in classrooms.
• Configures and/or code AV control systems.
• Designs simple AV systems and solutions.
• Installs/upgrades AV equipment in classrooms and conference rooms.
• Sets up and configures peripheral devices.
• Investigates, assesses, and implements new technologies and solutions.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduation from a two year technical college with a major in an Information Technology field and one year in the information technology field related to the position's role;
• OR Graduation from a four year college or university and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role;
• OR Graduation from a four year college or university with a major in an Information Technology area.

Related information technology experience may be substituted year for year for the required education.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Three (3) years or more of experience in the AV profession or related field.
• One (1) year or more of experience in higher education.
• Experience troubleshooting both PC and Apple hardware and/or software.
• Experience utilizing collaboration software and services such as Zoom, Teams, WebEx, Google Hangouts, etc.
• Hold AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, and/or CTS-D certification(s).
• Experience with Extron, such as holding certifications and/or working with their switcher/scalers, control systems, etc.
• Experience with Biamp DSP configuration and/or hold Biamp certifications.
• Hold Dante Level 1, 2, and/or 3 certification(s).
• Understanding of network basics and principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High level delivery of customer service skills.
