Summary
This position will perform economic and financial analysis in support of regulatory, business development, sales, and strategic planning initiatives. Additionally, the position is responsible for the development of economic research, reports and presentations to internal and external parties concerning the electric utility industry and corporate operations.
Essential Functions

Assist in regulatory functions and related activities, including regulatory filings, compliance filings and reports, discovery requests, and other work.

Provide clear, informative, and well supported financial and economic analysis to support company/department objectives, including strategic planning, development of alternative rate designs, and pricing options.

Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations used to convey information to Executive team and Board members.

Perform complex economic and financial analysis, including proforma, net present value, discounted cash flow and forecast modeling.

Update, maintain, and develop complex models to support regulatory filings, corporate analysis requirements, and strategic planning and analysis.

Review data integrity by building cross-checks between published information, records and reports. Resolve inconsistencies among data sources.

Assist in the preparation of the annual sales and revenue forecast. Perform analysis of historical and projected trends and compiles analytical outputs to include scenarios that examine market, seasonal, and other impacts.

Assist in the preparation of cost of service, fuel filings, revenue requirement determinations, and related analysis.

Provide financial and statistical analysis on information derived from accounting system, billing system, and other data systems.

Prepare and analyze data used for revenue requirement analyses, embedded and marginal cost?of?service studies and rate design.

Work Environment
Work is performed in a standard office environment. This position may require work to be performed outside of regular business hours.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or related discipline, required.
Experience
One (1) year experience in economics, finance, or related field, required. Experience to include use of financial, economic, and statistical analysis tools to produce meaningful and useful information. Experience in union/utility environment preferred.
